To introduce the historical and hermeneutical issues that arise from modern approaches to the literary corpus for which Paul of Tarsus is deemed the author; To shape the possible lines for the construction of a biography of St. Paul, on the basis of the letters he wrote, in the light of the historical, political and religious framework of his time; To make a summary of Paul's way of thinking, identifying the major axes of his theology and the issues that became seminal in the space of the Christian movement as well as in the history of western thought.
