Research line: The Performativities and Aesthetics of Religion (PAR)

José Pedro Angélico is a lecturer of fundamental theology and theological anthropology at the Catholic University of Portugal - Porto, where he develops as well his research interests as a fellow of the Centre for the Studies in Religions and Cultures. He studied in Portugal, Ireland and Spain. He holds a doctorate in theology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca. His academic work concentrates on the relation between theology, literature and philosophy, mainly regarding the Portuguese and Galician cultural contexts. He is also interested in issues such as political theology and phenomenology of religion.
