Phenomenology and Hermeneutics of Religion

Knowledge, comprehension: Describe the modern emergence of religion as a scientific object; Interpret theories of religion; Recognize different hermeneutical perspectives; Identify the concepts and methods of the Phenomenology of Religion; Analyse the religious experience; Describe transitions and transformations in selected world religions.

Collecting, analysing and synthesizing: Examine the study of religion as an academic discipline; Investigate the nature of sacred and the categories of sacred and secular in human experience; Analyse the sources and documents of religious traditions.

Evaluation and application: Examine the significance of religious phenomena from diverse religious and cultural perspectives, and investigates patterns of religious phenomena that have appeared in world cultures and civilizations; Examine cultural dimensions of sacred language; evaluate various the intellectual approaches and methods used in the study of religious phenomena.
