Research line: The Performativities and Aesthetics of Religion (PAR)

Pedro Valinho Gomes graduated in Theology from the Catholic University of Portugal and the Catholic University of East Africa. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Portugal, where he specialized in Philosophy of Religion with a study on forgiven from the work of Paul Ricoeur. He is a researcher at the Research Centre for Theology and Religious Studies and at the Centre for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies of the Catholic University of Portugal. He is the director of the Pilgrims Department of the Shrine of Fatima and of the Culture and Christian Formation Centre of the Diocese of Leiria-Fatima. He lectured at the Health College of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. Among other publications, he is the author of The hope of Forgiveness and co-coordinator of Religiosity: its irrepressible caracter.
