Theology, Values and Social Dynamics (TVSD)

José Manuel Valente da Silva Nunes is a Dominican friar and joined the Order of Preachers in 1977. He completed a bachelor's degree in Theology at UCP - Portuguese Catholic University, Lisbon, and a PhD in Pastoral Theology at the Pontifical University of Salamaca. He was a missionary in Angola for 9 years and is associate professor at the Faculty of Theology, UCP, where he began to teach in 1994. He has published 2 books based on his two main research areas (Pastoral Theology and Missiology) - Small Christian Communities: ‘O ondjango e a inculturação em África‘ [‘Ondjango and Inculturation in Africa'] (1991) and ‘Teologia da Missão: notas e perspetivas' [‘Mission Theology: notes and perspectives'] (2008).
